The Habit Burger Grill in Visalia

I celebrated my PhD earlier this evening in this gorgeous place. happy to tell that we had a marvelous evening and the restaurant was surely one of the reasons for this outstanding evening. The crew helped in a very nice style, the cooking was tasty and my buddies were so joyful. We shall absolutely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

I had a bad experience one time. And i am glad to say they redeemed my taste experience with a lovely char burger and onion. Ring i would ordinary not eat. The shakes are lovely too.

We really love this place. We were so sad to see Mearle’s close But I love how The Habit really kept the design of the building and signs. I feel like their food is unique compared to the other fast food places in that area. The burgers are fresh and Flavorful. They have several different sides but my favorite is the onion rings. The ranch is so tasty and creamy as well. It is not the tangy packaged ranch. The shakes are delicious, too. There is a good amount of seating inside and outside. The outside seating is fenced in which is nice when you have kids because the traffic in that area is very busy. Sometimes the line is so long it goes onto Mooney Boulevard.I think the prices are decent. I recently went to Carl’s junior and the meals there were just as expensive or more as the habit. The quality wasn’t as good either. The staff has always been very kind. I also don’t ever remember having to wait too long for my food in the dining area or in the drive-through.

This place is the best in town, the best burgers the best milkshakes!! It let me down by far this last visit. I asked for 2 orders of ranch because we ordered 2 orders of onion rings. Nope not this time! Milk Shake almost 5 dollars. Not worth it! Baby worth $1.95. Hamburgers so covered with dressings that they were barely able to be picked up to eat! GROSS, messy! I hope it's better next time, this time wasn't pretty

The fries were literally inedible because they had too much salt! I tried rubbing off the salt but didn’t make it any better. The long wait at the drive thru was definitely not worth it.

My family and I have eaten here frequently. Today this will be our last time ever eating at this establishment. Besides the long wait at the drive thru our food tasted like a cleaning agent. Its hard to specify which one as I don't eat soap. My husband, son and I got sick shortly after taking a couple of bites of the food. We ended up throwing all the food away because the smell and the taste of the food was terrible. The employees were not wearing gloves or hair nets or washing their hands between cleaning, taking out garbage and preparing food. Management avoids talking to the customers and will have staff lie saying there is no management. If you try to call they will put you on hold and hang up on you. This place literally made us sick. This business is definitely running down. We will not be going back nor would we recommend anyone else to.

Great burgers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember her name this one young lady helped me with my order and she said she would check on me later to see how I liked it and she did. So many people say things and don't follow through but she did, I really appreciated it.

I love the Habit! Awesome redo of a classic with an incredible homage to Mearles. The 50's style diner that once was at the same locale. The veggie burger rocks and I also love the sweet potato, and green bean fries. Soft serve is also plentiful and inexpensive with a taste that takes me back to my childhood.

I meet with friends this lovely spot from time to time! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I visit this spot regularly. The meals are just great, the workers are welcoming and the price is fair. I like being in this spot to have a nice dinner.

I have not had a bad experience at the Habit in Visalia. They are always friendly. I love the onion rings and the fried green beans - one time I said that it would be nice if I could get half and half, when I was told they absolutely can. I love their salads, but I usually order a burger on sourdough because I can't resist.

I never thought anyone would surpass my beloved In-n-Out Burger. But The Habit just up the street did. Service is superior, burgers are bigger and just as tasty and the menu at least has options. Delicious!!

The food is very tasty! Sometimes the wait is long but it's worth waiting for. Besides, they offer several options for you to get your hands on this delicious food! Drive thru or walk in for take out: my order is always correct!

I love the burger here. It's my favorite. The fries is good too. I tried the brussel sprouts and that was just ok.

The decor was modern and quite different from the norm. It gave a comfortable ambiance. The staff were welcoming as we entered and that accentuated the friendly feel. The food was excellent for the price and should care and attention for the customers needs.

My order was made wrong and my burger was raw. (I took a picture) Waited 20 minutes in the drive thru. The cashier was friendly. I tried calling the restaurant to see about just having my meal replaced, you cant. You have to contact them directly from their webpage. I got an email reply that said I would promptly have my inquiry answered in 3-5 days. You know for the lunch I paid for that was bad. Definitely wont be going back.

This is the old Merle's, glad they didn't tear it down. It's a fair place to get a burger and have that old fashioned diner experience.

Great food, it kind of just melts in your mouth. The burgers here are always cooked perfectly. They are well worth their price.

Every time we go to Visalia we pass by The Habit. This time we decided to stop and have lunch. We were not disappointed! Prices are fair and the food was great. I ordered the BBQ Char Burger and it was superb. The place was super busy but an employee came to our table and asked how everything was and how our experience had been so far. That was surprising for a burger joint, but appreciated. It's really more than a burger joint, they have different sandwiches and were selling salads like crazy.

Had their Santa Barbara burger combo. The burger was big, but very good. Also a decent price for it's size. The fries were a tad salty, but good overall. Always a friendly staff and clean restaurant. Highly recommend.
